QS/Estimator (Quantity Surveyor/Estimator)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring they align with project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope, materials, and labor requirements.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis, including material costs, labor costs, and overheads, while considering market fluctuations and value engineering opportunities.
• Manage and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
• Monitor and analyze project progress, providing regular reports on cost variances and potential risks.
• Participate in tendering processes and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate progress claims, invoices, and payment applications to clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in contract administration, including contractual documentation and change order management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field would be advantageous.
